Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

We are reading 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl.  We are really enjoying it and find it so funny that we laugh out loud and don't want to stop listening to it.  Each chapter gets funnier and funnier.
It has five children in it who get to visit Willie Wonka's very large chocolate factory.  They are Charlie Bucket, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee and Augustus Gloop.
We recommend to everyone to read it, it is very cool.  We could tell you more but it would spoil the story!

As part of our literacy programme Mrs Russell reads to us every day from a chapter book.  Often we get activities or art to do about what we are reading. For this book we are making our own board games.  Today we were put into pairs or threes and we have begun to design our very own game.  We have named our games and have started to write down  some of the penalties and rewards for our game.  We are even going to make the game pieces.
This is going to be fun.  We will keep you posted on how it is going and what we learn about working together and co-operatively.
